In 2020, when I decided to leave nursing,
I began reflecting on what I had used most while caring for others.

It was gauze — a material that protects, absorbs, cleanses,
and holds wounds with quiet devotion.

Revisiting those gestures, I realized how little of that gentleness
had been offered to myself.

This work became my way of wrapping my own life
with the same tenderness I once gave to others —
a beginning of healing, and a promise toward myself.
